Our School

GESS is one of Asia’s leading holistic international schools offering an exceptional education to children aged 2 to 18 years.

Founded by parents in 1971, GESS is a not-for-profit international school that reinvests every dollar into teaching and learning. Due to the success of the school, in August 2018, GESS moved to a state-of-the-art campus at Dairy Farm. Whilst the community has grown to 1850 students, the school very much retains both its community feel and spirit. A key pillar in GESS’ success is its strong and engaged community. The parent-led board of governors and school association greatly contribute to the strategic direction of the school and vote on key initiatives.

Being one of a select number of global international schools to be successfully accredited by five education organisations, GESS is known for its innovative teaching and learning. GESS offers a personalised education with two curricula offered: the International Baccalaureate (IB) taught in English or the German curriculum. GESS is renowned for its language programmes, with over 15 languages expertly taught both integrated and after school; serving its diverse student community of 68 nationalities and 70 languages.

Students are encouraged to expand their learning outside of the classroom through experiential learning, and over 200 programmes and activities. In 2021, GESS partnered with 15 leading, global companies and organisations to create an exclusive BeyondClassrooms programme. This gives GESS students unique real-world insights into the working world through internships, industry expert talks and hands-on STEM programmes. GESS truly believes in giving its students the freedom to grow and discover their passions.
